Rail
Scales and Carcass Weighers
Rail Scales are in-motion scales that attaches to a rail system in a meat plant for
transporting carcasses. The rail or unirail scale is an electronic weighing
device designed for use with existing overhead monorail systems in the
meat processing industry. It is essential to have scales that are working
accurately, not only to maintain the high quality of your meat products
but also to know your yields and to record exactly what is coming in and
out of your plant. After years of consulting with the meat processing
industry, we have designed our own accurate and high speed carcass weigher
- the ISI 8000. We also supply the H21-5260 unirail scale from Fairbanks.
The ISI 8000 Dynamic Carcass Weighing System
Our carcass weigher is a four load cell design, incorporating the
latest in high speed weighing technology. It is designed to incorporate
into your existing rail structure. In high vibration situations it is
recommended to suspend independently from the trolley transport system,
this as stated is not necessary in all installations. The unit comes in
both 24 and 36 inch rail versions. Height of the unit is calculated to
clear all existing structures, and is manufactured as such. The unit comes
in two capacities 300, and 600 kilograms, which translates to 600, and
1200 pounds.

Notable Features
The ISI 8000 has an expected throughput of 500 beef head per hour,
and 2000 pork. The NTEP and Canadian Weights and Measures process has
already begun. Expected time frame for the complete approval process is
90 days.
The design comes with a complete list of options, allowing you to choose
the device which best meets your application. Our Dynamic Carcass Weighing
System, model ISI 8000 is the ultimate in weighing systems for North American
high speed meat product facilities. Some of its best features include:
- Highest accuracy in the industry - 500 x 0.1 kg, 1100 x .2lb
- Fully galvanized and stainless steel construction
- 2000 weighments per hour
- 24 or 36 inch rail length
- Low maintenance and installation costs
- No expensive support structure needed.

Fairbanks
Static Unirail Model H21-5260 Series
The Fairbanks unirail is a self-contained unit which is supported
by your existing rail system. The scale is fully assembled and tested
at the factory. The installation is simply a matter of cutting your rail,
inserting the scale and attaching it to your rail hangers. No additional
overhead structural supports are needed.
Features:
The design simplicity of Fairbanks Unirail eliminates routine
maintenance. There are no moving parts, no pivots and bearings to require
replacement, no error-causing friction. The weighrail is simply supported
at each end by rigidly connected bending beam load cells. This rigid construction,
combined with stainless steel structural components and watertight load
cells, provides a scale with an extraordinary long service life without
wear or corrosion. Design simplicity and corrosion-resistant materials
are the key to value Fairbanks Unirail. Other features include:
- Unitized Construction
- Vibration Suppression
- Meets P & S Regulations
- No Moving Parts
- Hostile Environment
- Nationwide Service
Advantages:
- Rugged Stainless Steel Construction
- Meets U.S.D.A. Monorail reguations
- Simple Design
The unirail has no moving parts so maintenance is significantly reduced.

- Fast
- Accurate
The unirail scale's single unit concept adds accuracy by eliminating
multiple support points required. This scale can tolerate minor deflection
without affecting accuracy because it electronically dampens the effect
of vibrations.
