Intrinsiscally Safe Indicators for Hazardous Areas 2800 Series Intrinsiscally Safe Instrument Remote Display for the Hazardous Area This Solutions Group Highlight features a fiber optic connected remote display that can not only provide remote weight read-out but can also perform Zero and Autotare functions from the same location. Specially designed for explosive environments requiring intrinsic safety. The 2800 Series indicator can be used on all types platforms and applications. Customer Request Provide a remote weight display, for use in the hazardous area, which may be used with the 2800 indicator. The area classification shall not exceed the ratings for the 2800 indicator. The remote display location should have the ability to perform a and function of the main 2800 connected to the weighing device. Cycle of Operation Special software has been developed for the standard Analog version of the 2800 indicator. After installation of this special PROM the second 2800 After installation of this special PROM the second 2800 will operate as a remote display. The analog option, 2880 Accessory, must be installed in the indicators. Due to the intrinsic safety characteristics and Factory Mutual approvals of the base indicator it may be used in the hazardous area. Remote unit functions allowed are: Print Units Zero Start Gross/net Stop Autotare A software version is available in which the unit functions as a remote display only as well. Connection between the two (2) indicators shall be via fiber optic cables. Standard distance limitations of the fiber optic cable run apply as in the original unit. Some standard features may not be available in all configurations of this equipment.
