Precision
Scales
To maximize their profits, companies are constantly on the look out for precision scales that not only can provide accurate but
precise weighing measurements. We offer a complete selection of precision digital scales
for all types of applications, whether your particular needs are for scientific, commercial, industrial, or any other areas where precise results are important.
Our scales feature digital displays from liquid crystal display (LCD), to light-emitting diode (LED), or vacuum fluorescent display (VFD). They
are also accurate in so far as they offer correct measurements, i.e., that it closely matches the value being measured, and precise in that
they can provide extremely detailed measurement is, i.e., 0.5 vs 0.456 grams. Precision counting scales, for instance,
are typically used to determine the number of parts in large sample of identical pieces. They determine the number of parts in a
sample by weighing the sample, and dividing it by the weight of each individual part. If counting parts by hand is too boring and time consuming, we have
the counting scale for you.

Dual
Counting Scales
Interweigh designs its own precision counting scales for those situations
that require dual counting. While the smaller scale is used to sample
the items to be counted as a method of obtaining the unit weight
accuracy, the larger scale is used to weigh the item in bulk. These
units also come with fork lift mounts and wheels making it easy
to move them and to lift them.

What are Precision Scales?
There is a difference between precision and accuracy. Precision is the smallest incremental reading the scale can display, i.e., usually 1 gram, but the actual reading may be inaccurate, i.e., by a few grams. Precision scales are accurate in so far as they offer correct measurements, i.e.,
that it closely matches the value being measured, and precise in that
they can provide extremely detailed measurement is, i.e., 0.5 vs 0.456
grams.
How they work.
A common type of precision scale is a scale used in laboratory or scientific measurements.
Applications
As precision scales provide precise measurements, they find applications in those areas where precision is a high priority. As the ability to be more precision increases with advancements in load cell technology, the number
of applications continue to grow. Precision scales are extremely important
in those industries where precision, ease of use, speed and affordability
are key issues to a successful and profitable business. The increased
efficiency, higher productivity, and so on, all contribute to greater
profits and happier customers.
Advantages
Precision scales are faster, more precise and accurate, can achieve higher GMP standards
and often use digital displays which are easy to read. These scales are
also smaller in size allowing for more efficient use of space. Precision lab, counting and bench scales are usually compact in size and are often portable and feature advanced digital displays that make them easy to read. Another distinct advantage
is that precision scales can be tied into existing computer and accounting
systems, which for most applications makes precision scales more useful
and efficient than standard scales.
